Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Lake Pleasant Campground open to everyone?
Absolutely! Lake Pleasant Campground is open to the general public for camping, lodge rentals, and cabin stays. We offer seasonal stays of up to 28 days, which can be renewed for the entire camping season, subject to approval.
  • Are three-way service sites available at Lake Pleasant Campground?
We currently offer 30 amp service and non-potable water at each campsite. However, we provide a septic pumping service for a fee, so you don’t have to move your camper or use a blue-boy to transport your septic waste to the disposal area. Discounts on this service are available for CAF and Veteran Campers and their families.
  • Can I host my wedding at Lake Pleasant Campground?
Yes, you can! Our spacious lodge, 100 campsites, and 11 cabins can accommodate weddings of various sizes. Lodge rentals include tables and chairs, access to a catering staging area, and accessible washrooms. We offer special packages for weddings and large family gatherings. Contact us for more details!
  • Is Lake Pleasant Campground owned by Military?
Lake Pleasant Campground (LPC) is a Department of National Defence (DND) facility owned by 14 Wing Greenwood operated by Canadian Armed Forces Greenwood Personnel Support Programs (PSP). LPC serves Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) regular, reserve and retired members, DND/NPF/RCMP personnel and their families.
  • I missed the seasonal site selection after being posted in. Can I still get a seasonal site?
Yes, you can! If you are military and have been posted in the area or simply want a seasonal campsite, we will find a spot for you. Seasonal sites are available on two-year terms, with an option to extend for an additional two years (first right of refusal). The maximum stay is four years and requires Camp Manager approval.
  • I'm going to be late checking in, what do I do!?
No worries! Life can change our plans! If you know you will be late checking in, please send our staff an email at info@lakepleasantcampground.com or call us at 902 547 2882 or 902 465 6494.
  • CAF/Veterans and families get a 20% discount, how do I apply that discount?
When booking your site or stay, you’ll find a dropdown menu on the payment page with available discount rates. Please select the appropriate rate. Note that proof of identification will be required at check-in to confirm your discount. If you cannot provide ID to substantiate your discount, staff will remove the discount from your order.
  • How can I request a change to a camp policy?
Our camp policies are created through careful evaluation to ensure the protection of our customers and wilderness areas. If you believe any of our policies negatively impact you and your family, please contact our Camp Manager at info@lakepleasantcampground.com. All concerns are reviewed by upper management. We value your feedback and continuously evolve based on new information and perspectives!
  • Can I stay on my seasonal site indefinitely?
No, we require our seasonal campers to be flexible with their assigned sites. Each site is provided on a two-year term, with the option to extend for an additional two years. If safety concerns arise that affect your ability to stay at your site, the camp manager will reassign you to a comparable site for the remainder of your stay. Our waterfront seasonal sites are only available on a year to year basis.
